As mentioned above the original version had a restricted output due to there being no boost of the battery wattage. When the battery output wattage dropped due to the battery discharging this meant that the device could often not reach the full 100W. With the pro edition, an 8.5V (max) boost has been included to help achieve the higher output levels with discharging batteries. The output is again specified as 5-100W in either Smart Mode (the device sets the output according to the coil installed) or RBA Mode (full variable wattage). A USB Type-C port is provided for emergency charging at a 2A charge rate.

Another update is the inclusion of the TPP 2.0 pod tank. As with the rest of the Drag X range, the pro edition is compatible with other TPP or PnP tank using the magnetic tank base plus the mod has a standard 510 connector for use with any 510 atomizer. The new pod tank is compatible with the TPP coil range – there are 2 coils in the range and both are included in the kit, a TPP-DM1 0.15ohm Mesh, and aTPP-DM2 0.2ohm Mesh. Pull the pod from the magnetic tank base to access the fill port and for the removal/replacement of the push-in coils. The tank base also houses the adjustable airflow inlet.
